Bauhaus exhibition at the MoMa

Con motivo del 90 aniversario de la fundación Bauhaus, el Museum of Modern Art presentará este otoño Bauhaus 1919-1933: Workshops for Modernity, la mayor exposición que se ha hecho hasta el momento sobre esta insigne escuela que reunió a artistas, arquitectos y diseñadores de gran renombre, como Marcel Breuer, Walter Gropius, Wassily Kandinsky o Paul Klee.

La exposición, que abrió sus puertas el 8 de noviembre y reúne más de 400 obras que reflejan la gama extraordinariamente amplia de las producciones de la Bauhaus: diseño industrial, muebles, arquitectura, gráfica, fotografía, textiles, cerámica, teatro y diseño de vestuario, pintura y escultura.
La exposición, que se ha organizado en colaboración con un consorcio de tres de las colecciones sobre la Bauhaus en Alemania (el Bauhaus-Archiv de Berlín, la Fundación Bauhaus Dessau, y la asociación Klassik Stiftung Weimar), presentando además obras del Metropolitan Museum of Art de Nueva York, el Centre Pompidou de París y de numerosas colecciones públicas y privadas de Estados Unidos y Europa.

To mark the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Bauhaus, the Museum of Modern Art presents, Bauhaus 1919-1933: Workshops for Modernity, the biggest exhibition that has been done so far on this great school that brought together artists, architects and designers of great renown, such as Marcel Breuer, Walter Gropius, Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee.
The exhibition, which opened its doors on November 8 and includes more than 400 works reflecting the extremely wide range of productions at the Bauhaus: industrial design, furniture, architecture, graphics, photography, textiles, ceramics, theater and costume design , painting and sculpture.
The exhibition has been organized in collaboration with a colaboration of three of the collections on the Bauhaus in Germany (Bauhaus-Archiv, Berlin, the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation and the association Klassik Stiftung Weimar), also presenting works from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Center Pompidou in Paris and numerous public and private collections in the U.S. and Europe.
