Nox










Nox es un estudio de arquitectura holandés con sede en Rótterdam, dirigido por Lars Spuybroek.

Desde la graduación de Spuybroek de la Technical University Delft en 1989 ha investigado acerca de los nuevos medios de generar arquitectura, experiementando generalmente con el uso del ordenador.

Nox entra a la escena arquitectónica internacional con el Water Pavillion en la isla de Neeltje Jans, la cual Charles Jencks calificó la obra en su libro The New Paradigm of Architecture como "Aún no superado".

Spuybroek ha sido co-editor de las publicaciones NOX y FORUM. Dirige el departamento de Diseño Digital de la Universidad de Kassel, Alemania. En el 2004, ha publicado la obra Machining Architecture en colaboración con otros artistas. Ha recibido numerosos premios internacionales como Zeeuwse Architectuurprijs, 1998; Lakov Chernikov Award, 1997; Mart Stam, 1991; Archiprix, 1989. Ha participado en la Bienal de Arquitectura de Venecia, 2004, 2002 y 2000; Zoomorphic de la Victoria & Albert, Londres, 2003; Non Standard Architectures en el Centre Pompidou, Paris, 2003.

Since graduation of Spuybroek from the Technical University of Delft in 1989 he has investigated about new ways of generating architecture, usually experiments with the use of the computer.
